this was something an airplane mechanic told me when i was asking him about the different types of oils. i don't know if it was true or not, as far as i know, it might be a myth, but heck he was an airplane mechanic.

i've always'd just ripped out the old and threw in the new. never been asked by a mechanic about old oil when i specified i wanted full synthetic new oil.

but i know you can't mix silicone based brake fluid with mineral
