I need help! How do you reset the automatic door locks on this baby. Also when I bought this Caddy the previous owner had an expensive sound system and then removed it. I took it to a shop and had the original radio connected and it only worked a few times and now not at all. It seems like there is a loose wire or something. The shop told me the radio is no good. Any help will be appreciated...............

first off teh original owner probably replaced the stereo because it was no good and check out impala ss and fleetwood page and check out cadillac forums home

both are great sites basically dedicated to out 94-96 fleetwoods and teh impala ss or teh caprices which are all basically the same except for body differences.

I have a 1995 Fleetwood Brougham, and I do not think the power locks can be-re-programmed. The owners manual says you can, but my local dealer says that you cannot, you can disable it entirely, but can't change the selections.

The factory radios had a theft lock provision that disables the unit if it is removed. The Dealer SHOULD have the brains to re-activate it properly, but you know how it is dealing with dealers.

The factory stereo (if you had the intregal CD layer) is actually quite good and 1996 was improved over 1995, but if yours does not have the integrated CD player, then it's not worth repairing.
