Electric Fuel Pumps In Dual Tanks ?

I have a 1985 F250 HD 4X4 7.5L 460 W/Dual tanks. Do the electric fuel pumps in dual tanks run simultaneously or when a specific tank is selected by the tank selector switch?

They only run in the selected tank.
