Re: played around with a DSM

i think the big variable in street racing and any kind of racing, for that matter ,is the driver. you can have the fastest car in the world but if you dont know how to drive it ,its useless. people might beat a car thats faster than theres and then they come out with outragious claims about there victory...im not saying that a GS-T is faster than a GT ,but givin the right conditions (40mph roll) and a decient driver (myself) i have over come the odds and beat a couple 99-04 GTs by a narrow victory... but because i know a honoralbe amount about a wide variety of cars , i can show a sportsmen like attitude twards cars/drivers that have beat me, and car/drivers i have beat ..even if it was a "lucky" win....

...just my opinion/thoughts on the subject....

Re: played around with a DSM

Once in a great while you will beat a car that's faster than you...mostly because of the other person not knowing how to drive their car..in which case you have to know you only beat them because they lack skill. I've beat two SRT-4s. Yet, I'll never tell you my car is faster than an SRT-4. You know why? because I'm not naive enough to think that just because I came across two bad drivers that I'm faster than SRT-4s. Also, I've ran pretty damn good with LS1s. Still, I know..if it was a decent driver I would have had my ass handed to me. It's just people who don't know anything..they have a run in with a new driver/bad driver..they win by an inch and think they can destroy that car. Humans control cars, and humans make mistakes. Sure..you might beat the driver but that doesn't mean you beat the car. Normally when I race I try to race someone a couple times from different situations. Before I'll say I really beat a car...I have to race them twice from a dig, and once from a roll. Then I truely defeated both the car and the driver and I can sleep soundly at night knowing "Yes, I can beat this car". but hey..that's just me.

Re: played around with a DSM

its basically comes down to over all respect, and being man enoughf to admit a loss and respect a win, but with that said all the sportsmenship in the world goes down the drain if there is money involved. that is why i just street race for kicks ,and a good time....

yeah, and knowing whats really right means you could make some $$ off them if they are stupid and stubborn...or rich enough, my friend seems to think his V6 stang conv. (auto) w/ a ..."turbonator" can actually beat my car... if you dont' know what it is, then look it up because its one of those supercharge your car for 65$ ripoffs and he claims to have 250hp....

and now that we're talking about who's car is faster, i've beaten SRT4's and modded GS-T's until 3rd gear where i hear a bov and them flying up 2 cars ... yeah...
