Jeff got a very good point, I've just never made to the track. On the way me and a friend was racing and then a cop gave chase. He knew we was going to the track cause aint nothing else close so i keep going faster pass the track. Could not afford that 100 plus mph ticket until tax return, so had no other option.

For real, don't ever do dumb stuff like i did, and i never plan to that again.

Re: Stock GT Vs. Mod GT

In my humble opinion, the speed of your car isn't as important to the cars you beat...track times are in a perfect world....straight, perfect pavement, with your car working under optimal conditions...after all, it isn't your ET that matters, it's if you cross the finish line first, in any form of racing, unless we are talking about autocross and rallying and the like, where they don't/can't race together on a track....if you have a mid-14 second car and beat a low 13 second car, it just makes you that much more bad ass.

I'm gonna get 31 spline axles before I get drag radials. I don't want to break an axle . and I agree with you street racer 00.

I have never cared for the track myself. People are not talking nonsense about my car on the track. The phrase, “That’s not a Mustang Cobra, so I know you don’t want it with me” is often heard on the street. Guys are always pulling up add looking at me like I’m short or something on the street. Soon enough, as KILLS are given out at a merciless rate, I WILL TEACH THEM NOT TO MACH ME ANY MORE. I don't care if I ever run a 12, 11, or 10 flat cause hell; I would not be the first to do that. However, I will try to be the first to embarrass the fool that let his friend without a nice car talk him into a race he didn't want any part if he knew what was good for him. There is always that friend sit next to you trying to gas your head up to whip dat ass and will be the first to remember how bad your ass got whipped. I believe in trying to make a lasting impression, hell to many have been made at my expense, thus said my friend while recalling his memories of riding next to me in my 91 Chevy Beretta GT.

YOU ARE TOO RIGHT ABOUT THE AXLES, but you don't have to run slicks. It could just be a more summer tire that slickish. If you have an everyday driver, Try some Goodyear F1's or Firestone Fire Hawks. That more of what i'm looking for so i don't break the axle but get out the hole better and get around on a rain or snow day.

"Displacement is no replacement for BOOST"., so just what the hell does this mean? You do drive a Ford 4.6 SOHC 16valve motor car. Where the boost in this?
