glovebox jammed
I am in the middle of working on performance problems in a 1986 Camaro Spt Coupe that led to a failed NJ Emissions Test. I'll post all that later. So far it looks like a nasty air leak.
In the meantime the glovebox on the center console Jammed closed. The button will not depress. At least I think you need to depress it to open the thing. It's one of those things you do automatically until something goes wrong. I thought something was caught in the lock so I tried fishing in there with all kinds of skinny things. No luck thus far. The problem is I really don't remember what the mechanism looks like. If someone could post a description of some sort it would really be appreciated. I'd rather open it with gentle persuasion than break everything and have to go junkyard searching for a new door. Besides my registration and insurance ID are locked in there. With a bad inspection sticker on one of these cars and no ID I think I might upset the local constables. I really hate having cars impounded
