Washer Fluid Weirdness for 98 Grand Prix

Hello

Winter is begins this week up North and I really would like it if my car would dispense wiper fluid. (That whole see the snowplow before you hit it thing)

I have filled the resevoir, checked the fuses, cursed at my Haines book and sacrificed some blood (my own) to see WTF is going on - and still have one dirty windshield. Apart from making myself a nuisance at the local gas station and stealing a squeegee, anyone have any ideas?

It does make the normal noise that a properly functioning motor should make - sort of like a hum. But there is no fluid output, which makes it very frustrating, like the Homecoming Queen - "I'll do it... just not all the way."

Did you check line? If it has a hole in it, you will get nothing. But it should end up on the ground.
Pull the hose off at the pump. Try it. If you get nothing, replace pump.

Cass, that makes twice this year. And there is still time left. Going for new record!!

If something does come out of the pump with the hose pulled,then it may be a problem with the hose being blocked and they my need to be cleaned out or replaced.

Hi all, I have a 1998 Grand Prix 3.8 ltr. GTP, and recently the washer pump died, no pump noise, nothing.

I would like to know if anyone knows where the pump is located, and also which fuse it uses and, where its located, glove box, or under hood.

This car is fully loaded, lots of fuses, but there is no specific mention in the manual, as to which one controls the pump.
