Engine rumble and stall

Having a new fuel filter put in as I write this. I thought my transmission or engine was dying as I rumbled home yesterday reacing the top speed of 50 mph!

It finally died at a stop light. Friends following my said it sounded like it was starving for gas. CEL showed multiple mis-fires and garage believes it moisture in fuel line. Can of dry gas and shot of ether got it running again so i couild make it to garage.

Anyone with similar problems?? Solutions??
