93 clutch

The clutch on my stock 93 turbo, from the time I have owned it has been short in through and very positive. The clutch made for fast shifting and easy driving for me but not girls or newbies. The pedal was firm and people would inevitably stall it the first time driving it due to the extremely short through.

Just recently I had a lot of work done which included a new clutch including master and slave cylinders. I drove the car the other day and found i could hardly drive the thing. It feels like a brand new civic clutch. I just about shoved my foot throught the floor. the through is long and like I said before the pedal is very soft like a civic.

So, Did the Mr2 in 93 have an options for a performance clutch. I seem to remember someone telling me when I bought my car that it had that option but that was ten years ago. And they could have been full of it.

How is the clutch supposed to feel. Is what I described normal, has my old clutch been off this whole time or is the new one the wrong pressure plate. thanks for any help you can be.
Hope you all had a great holiday and a great New Year!

Re: 93 clutch

It sounds to me like your clutch needs to be bled!
