01 eclipse vs bmw

ok...i was wondering what you guys think would win... my 2001 eclipse spyer gt (v6 auto) or a 99 bmw 328i (v? auto)? both cars are stock... thanks all your opinions are appreciated!!=)

the 328i would have an Inline 6 and the eclipse would probably win as long as you know how to launch (brake torque) and don't try shifting your sporty. The 2.8L Inline 6 in the BMW only has 193 hp and the 2 cars weigh about the same. If you don't know how to launch and he does, he'll probably leave you at the line and you'll have a tough time catching up.

ok...by launch you mean starting off not at a low rpm??so like taking off at like 3000 rpms insted of 750???do i have the right idea??

yes that is launching but that is alittle high. try starting off around 2500rpms. you will have less wheel spin

the 328i is rwd it may have a little less power but it is still going to have an advantage.

my friend has the 97 328i 5spd and its not that fast. my 97 maxima can take it and im pretty sure the v6 eclipse can take my maxima. i dont kno how much BMW changed in from the two generations but can be that much.

when i raced him i launched at first...then it was on i got on the freeway and he was left in the dust!!! it was great..
