Need help dealing with interior condensation!! ASAP!!
I'm wondering how I can prevent the inside of my 89 CRX from fogging up during cold weather here in Edmonton, Alberta.
If I use my heater on the front window defrost setting, every other window in my car, including door windows, fogs up fairly rapidly. Then, often while I'm still driving, and every time I park the car, the condensation freezes, forcing me to use my ice scraper on the INSIDE of my windows before I can see out at all. I've tried switching to the winshield+foot setting, but that causes my winshield to start to fog up. My heater works great, and all the settings do too (panel, foot, window, A/C) so I need to find the setting that would stop all of this condensation and hassle from happening. Or would this be a case of bad seals somewhere? I've gone around the windows and all seem to be fine, so I'm at a bit of a loss for what to do. I'd like to get this figured out before my 14 hour trip back to school. Any help is greatly appreciated Nate |

Re: Need help dealing with interior condensation!! ASAP!!
fog x works but there is usually a visable film. The condensation is caused by your defroster/heater more than likely. Your windows get real warm, then when you kill the car the windows get very cold very fast causing condensation on the inside of the windows.

If you run the ac while the heat is on it will pull moisture out of the air.

Re: Need help dealing with interior condensation!! ASAP!!
Have y'all tried the little lever on the left side of the column that actuates the air flowing coming from outside or closed not letting outside air in? Not sure if it would make a difference. Also, when you get the defroster to work have you tried the recirculate button to keep any unwanted outside air flow interfering with the inside to maintain constant temp?
