Re: Fallujah in pictures

I think the UN should be disbanded, and a more equitable (all around) entity should be created.

I think the US should pull back troops to defend US soil, rather than sticking their nose all over the place and pissing people off all over the globe. Stop paying for bases overseas. If someone wants the US to have a base in their country, let them pay for it.

-end rant-

I agree, the U.N. had a good idea when it started but now is the biggest joke I've ever seen. I'll get into why in another debate.

I agree somewhat on the U.S. defending U.S. soil and keeping out of people's business. I do think we need to keep an eye out though and act, when needed, on special matters. In WW2 we sat back and minded our own business and then it came back and bit us in the butt.
The U.S. since then has got the idea that every offense by another country is the start of WW3 and we must go stop it before it gets out of hand. I think we can find a nice median and stick to it.

Pretty ironic. Just flipped through my friends pictures on Christmas when he was in Iraq. He was an Airborne Ranger. Saw a lot of smiles on Iraqi's faces men, women, and children. All that site does is show the negative side.

Indeed it does, but I'm afraid that too often, all we see is the positive side. Between the two, hopefully we can get as good a picture of the realities of Fallujah as possible.

Re: Fallujah in pictures

As far as I can see, all that site shows is the horrors and effects of war. Yes there are happy people, and yes people are getting blown up. What some people need to realise is that war is ugly and people get hurt, it's not a fucking videogame.

Of course, to those people, anything you say which might disagree with what they blindly believe in is hate and antipatriotism.
