1997 blazer audio problems

My front passenger side speaker does not work. and my back speakers seem to work when they want to. i was thinking maybe there is a short some where. When i put my cd player in the dash I noticed there there are four white plugs instead of the normal three i usually see but, when i go to try to connect one plug it will not go in the stock. If anyone has an idea about my problems it will be appreciated. Also can someone tell my what size the stock speakers are. thanks

I had the same problem the back speakers don't work. I connected new ones, and guess what? they work. You probably blew them out. I did this twice already.

Re: 1997 blazer audio problems

yea if they had been working before you installed your new radio most likely the speakers are blown. New radios have it built into them to not send anything to a speaker when it blows. My last vehicle actually ahd one in that made the radio totally unuseable until I fixed a blown speaker. To me soudns exactly like a blown speaker. As for the size of them sorry I don't know but if you ask at Circuit City or some palce like them they have a book and could tell you.
