Leak in passenger rear foot well

Just wondering whether anyone has found that leak. I have driven the car in the rain and it is outside for short times in the rain but never gets wet. When I leave the car outside for 6 or 8 hours, overnight in the rain the real well fills up. Have tried everything. Any answers or have any of you figured it out. This car is in great shape, only has 80,000 kilometres, I want to keep it in that shape. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Leak in passenger rear foot well

Check the door seals first. Also, there are drip rails/channels that route water from over the doors to the bottom of the body. If these are clogged, you'll get some leakage. Check from the top of the doors down, follow where water would move downwards, and I bet you'll find something blocking the channel.

I recently fixed the same problem...FINALLY....there is a seal under the grill that is at the bottom of the windshield........When it is removed there is a seal for the drain which was cracked....This allowed the water to enter the vent which runs to the rear footwell for the heat and air and spill into the well....Hope this helps someone...Ford would give me no info on it!!!!!
