Trooper II: Gas mileage?

I'm driving an '89 this week & it seems to get 10 MPG

Is this normal

My Suburban (which is twice as big & heavy) gets 20MPG:smoka:

I've improve my 90's fuel economy by changing the water temperature sender, now my water temp guage goes a little higher and i get better gas mileage
