Cool Don't hurt me too badly

I have read alot and It seems to be in the grey area for me. I doubt it works, but can an s14 sr20det go into an s13 and vise versa? Please don't yell and talk about my mother.

Re: Don't hurt me too badly

*punches in the face*

lol j/p
yea you can fit them in but really in my mind the only swap worth doing *im not for SR swaps is the S13 being the cheapest.*

read up on KA-T or if you must swap the RB motors hit up our FAQ for more newbie Qs

*mods can this be added he brought up a very good Q for starters I think*

Re: Don't hurt me too badly

yes, there's a kid with a s14 blacktop in his s13 around here.

ACE couldn't agree more. If your going to swap, do a friggin swap rb is only way to go. Ka is definently on the rise and is pretty much equivalent/if not better to a SR in my eyes. Actually it seems like every nooby (not calling you one, just stating to the general kid) that hears about 240's automatically goes for the "SR20DET". It seems so FnF to me now like its a big bandwagon. But either way swap or not you got a badass engine. Good luck with it.

Re: Don't hurt me too badly

There was never any talk of SRs or KAs or any of that in the fast and furious movies, you're all as bad as the noobs who want SRs, you blame everything on the fast and furious movies.

Re: Don't hurt me too badly

well its obvious why the sr is what noobs levitate towards and thats the fact that a REAL silvia has it under the hood.. i don't think i ever heard anything about an sr in fnf but kids KNOW thats what was under the hood.. same thing as swapping honda engines.. they all know of the b16, h22 and all that shit so they wanna swap it.. our cars ORIGINALLY came with the sr but that kind of engine is illegal here so they went to an alternative, which now seems to be just as good in certain aspects as the sr.. its just that nobody knows anything about the ka so they won't look to turbo it

Re: Don't hurt me too badly

They actually talk about SRs? Damn, I gotta rent the movie again...and I can't belive they had an R33 and S14 in the first movie and they didn't get any exposure, even though they were teamed with a Maxima for some reason....lol

the S13 Black Top is the best if you plan on building the engine... S14 is better if your going to stay with the stock turbo... actually, i think your mom would be the best choice.

im doing the sr swap, and yes you people can yell and scream, and of course the reason is, i want my 240 to be similar to the originals, i hate america for doing stupid shit like this, but i also like the performace made by sr's though i know a nice modified KA could over perform a sr being it is a 2.4 , and i will admit it that i do like KA-T and look very nice, but i want an SR and make it really nice though the years.

Because it's a ball-bearing turbo. It's also a T-28, as opposed to a T-25 found in s13 sr20's.

Oh, I thought he meant that it's better to keep the original then to upgrade...
