86 tercel

hi all Im about to aquire an 86 tercel 4spd 2dr hatch, I'll be keeping this car as my daily driver as my fun car is a 1987 chrysler conquest so my q's are, is there any "free" mods that I can doo aside from gutting the cats and making a cold air intake ?? id like to get a little more power out but not put too much stress on other things, and also is there a good place to find out the specs on the car like hp,tq and stuff like that?
