Question Need A Part Name

My Care Was Overheating Once So I Change This Part Called The Teperture Guage Seding Unit Its Want Is A Sensor That Send Temperture To The Computer And Gauge And Fans Or Somethin To Send More Coolant Its Eating Up My Coolant And It Overheats In Less Han 5 Minutues And The Thermostate Is Brand New Please Hekp Im A Marine In Okinawa And My Wife Need My Help But I Dont Remember The Part Name . To Help It Only Cost My About $13.oo Dollors At Advance Auto Parts Plase Help

well there's the coolant temp sensor and there is also the thermostat which are two different parts, not quite sure exactly what you're looking for but if the car is overheating then it's most likely the thermostat.

sorry didn't see that you wrote that the thermostat is new... there's the coolant temp sensor if that's what you're looking for

Is In Between The The Head And The Block Under The Distributor Or Some Where In There

engine coolant temp sensor is located right by the thermostat which is somewhat underneath the distributor

might also want to check that the radiator cap is keeping pressure in the system because if it isn't that will also cause the engine to overheat
