Front Bumper Replacement Question
I need to replace the rubber front bumper cover on my 2000 Accord. If I order a new one from the Honda dealer, will it require painting? Is there an aftermarket one available that looks just like the original? What is a ballpark price for a new bumper? I have the factory service manual showing all of the fastening points. It looks straightforward. Is this something I can do myself in an afternoon or so? Any advice on purchasing and replacement effort/tips are greatly welcome. Thanks

The bumpers from dealers can be bought preped and painted to original color, or you can buy a bare bumper. A bare bumper on Ebay runs less than $100, but you can probably get one at a junk yard too for less.
Installation is very simple. There are only a handful of screws under the wheel well and some push retainers along the top and bottem edges that hold the center area. Good luck with the install. |
