coolant temp.sensor location. 94 V6

The haynes states it is on the back of the engine drivers side. Is there a alternate location? I don't see it on the water line. There is a sensor next to the MAP sensor on the intake manifold which looks like a temp sensor. Is that it?
Thanks.

One of these sensors is for the gauge in the instrument cluster and the other is the ECT input to the ECM. On the 95.5, there are two wires connected to the ECT sensor, one gray and the other is gray with a black tracer. Your 1994 may be wired with the same color code.

The sensor next to the MAP sensor measures the intake air temperature.

Excellent pic. Haynes has it on the other side.
Thanks!
