97 Bonneville Climate Control
I have 97 bonneville that is not blowing out air, hot or cold. The climate control unit is all digital so when I set the fan to high, low or anywhere in between, nothing happens. The blower moter is not the problem; I just replaced it. And I've kinda ruled out the relays. Any suggestions or fixes?
Thanks m |

Re: 97 Bonneville Climate Control
Grab a voltmeter and test the input and output wires at the Blower Control Module. First check the +12v input (heavy gauge red) to verify that the fuse is OK. Then test the input wire from the HVAC programmer (gray in the 93s but might be different in your 97). The voltage should be about 2 volts for low to 8 volts for high. Next, test the output wire to the blower motor (heavy gauge purple). It should read about 4 volts for low to 12 volts for high. My guess would be that you will find no output to the blower motor which would indicate a faulty BCM. There is a slight chance that the HVAC programmer is the problem but that is not common.
