Sorry, I couldn't set it up exactly as it appears on Microsoft Word. How does it look? ....Shouldn't be any spelling errors since I went over it a few times now. If it's BOLD on here, it's BOLD on the resume as well

I went ahead and signed up with this employment thing that will help me find a job at the airport or on the cruiselines Cost me $179

I will be sending my resume off to a lot of employers. 10 a day (max.) and I plan on doing this at least 3 days out of the 5 until I find a job. There were hundreds of jobs on the board at the place.

Thanks for any advice on the resume!!

I usually put three references on my resume. Also, for your references, they appear to be previous employers? What about maybe a personal character reference? you know, maybe a neighbor who has known you for awhile, etc.?

Perhaps you could add some of your interests outside of work?

Sometimes employers look for participation in team sports and things like that as an indication of how well you might fit into a team at work......

Just an idea.

Otherwise looks good.

Don't have any neighbors worth putting down
..and some of my friends are morons. They'd probably tell them about how I got fired from half my jobs, etc....

I do hiring where I work. Suggestions:
Don't include references, list them as available upon request. You should tailor your references to how you find the interviewer, they will ask for references at the end of the interview. I would make the cover page more of a summary of what you will bring to the company. Not telling them whats on the next page. It should be a brief summary of what job you are looking for and the skills you can bring to best do that job. Don't go in to detail about any job that wont help you find the job you are seeking(ie the sheet metal job). I would also expand on your job skills and show more of what you did(ie "made large cash deposits at an off site bank on a daily basis" instead of " handled large amounts of money"). And change your summary of qualifications to "Other skills", these should be things like public speaking, organization, problem solving....

Sorry to hack up your resume, just offering you an opinion. Best of luck

Why should he put "available upon request"? Why does that look better than just references?

It just adds clutter to a resume. Employers never call the references before they have finished the interview process. Again you should be tailoring you references to the job and interviewer(ie don't give a reference that might tend to crack a joke to a interviewer that is very strict). Also you should be calling your references before the interviewer calls them to tell them what was discussed in the interview so that they know how you answered and won't contradict something you said. Worst thing can be giving a reference who does not even know you are using them.
