lighting problem

I recently re-wired my 1962 Impala's rear brake lights from under the dash back. (New harness)The drivers side brake and signal works, but the passenger side does not. When I pull the light switch all the way out, all six lights come on along with the headlights. Please note that the front passenger signal light socket is broken. Someone informed me that my problem may lie in the turn signal cluster in the steering column. Any advise on the matter would be deeply appreciated.
