Angry Crazy Steering Wheel

I have a 6th gen accord (2000) I got about 60K on the odo. Everything on the interior is fine except the damn steering wheel. The rubber/plastic wrapping on the steering wheel is worn away in the places I normally put my hand while driving, the left corner above the horn and the top left of the wheel. In fact, the top wear is inside and outside. I can take the wheel cover and rotate it (back and forth toward the dash) quite a ways. Its real bootleg

My dad has a 2001 accord with 115K on it and his steering wheel is in perfect condition. My mom has a 2001 accord with 26K (she doesn't do much driving) and hers shows no wear.

Anybody else with a 6th gen, specifically a 6.0 gen with this problem, or is it just me? Ive never seen an accord of any generation with this problem.

Maybe I grip the wheel too hard with all that acceleration g's with those 1500 horses under the hood!!! Okay, its only 1050 horses.
