gears jumping??

my wife has a 96 accord with an auto tranny...when we come to a stop sign and make a full stop..it feels like the car goes on gears by itself. it's also hard to take off at first.{it slags} but after it picks up it drives fine.

Re: gears jumping??

What do you mean 'goes on gears'
And how many miles are on the car...
Have you ever flushed the tranny? If so, when?

Re: gears jumping??

car has 100,000 miles on her..tranny fluid was flushed about a month ago..if i'm driving and come to a complete stop. i can feel the tranny jerking like it's jumping from gear to gear..it's weird..it just wants to go when it's fully stopped...by the way, idle is fine so i know it's not the idle.
