Sell Value?

I know there is online blue books, but i am looking for a realistic price i COULD sell my car for. Just tell me how much u think its worth or what u would buy it for...

1988 Civic Hatch DX
Stock
200,000 + miles
Factory Red paint (slightly faded in a couple of spots)
Silver steelies
almost immaculate interior (slight tears on the top of the doors...where ur arm sits when the window is open)
Hot heat....cold air.
75% tread left

also this is a family owned car, my grandmother bought it knew, sold it to my step dad for $100 (because he wouldnt accept it for free) and it could be mine for free because my dad owes me money anyways... i havent driven it much... this car has probably never been over 4000rpm! keep in mind, this is NOT a classified, im just looking for a rough estimate on what i could get for it.

thankx

it all depends on where you live. i often drive to bigger cities to buy a car cheaper that i turn around and sell for more in the smaller city i live in.

if i ever have a car and i don't know what i want to ask for it i generally go to www.autotrader.com and see what the cars within 200mi of my zip code are going for and base it off of that

Re: Re: Sell Value?

my old motor blew up with 200,000 miles,
but thats not to say that yours will,
my thoughts,
you could sell it to someone who needs it for a good 500-600,
maybe more,
but if someone knows a true 4th gen honda w/200,000
knows you could get it for around 300-400$

lol...like i said, i could say about 95%, that this car has NEVER met redline, with ALL maintenence every 3000 miles... It was my grandmothers car. it honestly doesnt look like it has over 75k on it; if that. the only real sign of age is knowing better( and a lil faded paint.)
where could i sell for more at, Houston Tx? (big City) or a small town? cus my dad lives in TX, i was just wondering if it would be worth taking there, if i was to decide i wanted to sell it.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Sell Value?

you could search www.autotrader.com for what a civic is worth in houston verses where you live. who knows, it might be different in TX compared to OR. i would buy cars in portland, or (big city) and resell here in the small city for more
