Question 1999 Montana 1+2 Fan Speed

Whats The Problem If The 1 And 2 Fan Speeds Don't Work But 3,4,and 5 Work I Tried To Fuses Non Was Blown In The Van. Its Driving Me Crazy.. Any Clues..

Replace the fan resistor that is located next to the fan motor. The resistor is going bad and soon the fan will only work on position number 5. Part costs between $30 and $40.

Once you remove the resistor block, check on the circiut board for any breaks. I had the same problem and repaired the board by soldering jumpers on the board. I got the speeds back and has been fine ever since. When removing the block, remove the center screw only and just loosen the other 2 in the rear of the block. The block will then slide out towards you. The blower fan has to come out to get to the resister block. Good luck on the repair
