I just got this car in the mail yesterday - a 1/18th scale version of course.

Pics are old for me, but must be new for some people giving no reason to delete the contribution. Maybe if someone had posted them last week or something...

Thanks!

That's not true - I find new stuff all the time and occasionally others do as well. I do have quite a few though.

Is anyone fluent in Swedish? Because you need to register to view those pics. To me, only the first few of the green one are new.

Yes, I am. It costs money to get a membership. 30 days costs 30 kronor (3,27€).

To view the pics on that sportbilen site, I just click the thumbnail and the englarged version of the picture pops up and I can see it briefly, but it immediately turns into a log in screen. If I control-click (since I am on a mac at the moment) I can copy and paste it into photoshop to look at it.

Does anyone know when those pictures of #24R were taken? I'm guessing they have to be 1998 or later, due to the EMI livery.

I'm fairly certain they come from the 1999 British GT Series.

ER
did this car ever have a gulf team davidoff livery, or have i just mixed my photos up?

And what GTR is this:

Britsh Gt 1999

British GT 1999 2

British Gt 1999 3

This car also ran in the 1999 British GT championship.

This car wore both a Gulf livery and a FINA BMW Motorsports livery prior to becoming the EMKA GTR in 1998.

Here's the race history on it per QV500. I'm not able to cross-reference my own stuff to verify this right now, but it's probably fairly accurate:

Quote:
BMW Motorsport, 1997 Le Mans 24 Hours: DNF (Lehto/Soper/Piquet).

1997 FIA GT Championship (with Gulf Team Davidoff): Nurburgring 7th (Bscher/Nielsen), Spa DNF (Bscher/Nielsen), A1-Ring DNF (Bscher/Nielsen), Suzuka 1000km DNS (Bscher/Nielsen/Lees).

Sold to EMKA Racing.

1998 Le Mans 24 Hours: 4th (O' Rourke/Sugden/Auberlen).

1998 British GT Championship: Silverstone 2nd (O' Rourke/Sugden), Oulton Park 1st (O' Rourke/Sugden), Croft 2nd (O' Rourke/Sugden), Snetterton 3rd (O' Rourke/Sugden), Silverstone 4th (O' Rourke/Sugden), Donington 2nd (O' Rourke/Sugden), Silverstone 8th (O' Rourke/Sugden), Spa Francorchamps 1st (O' Rourke/Sugden), Silverstone 5th (O' Rourke/Sugden).

1999 British GT Championship: Silverstone 1st (O' Rourke/Sugden), Oulton Park 4th (O' Rourke/Sugden), Snetterton DNF (Sugden), Brands Hatch 3rd (O' Rourke/Sugden), Silverstone DNF (O' Rourke/Sugden), Donington 4th (O' Rourke/Sugden), Donington 3rd (O' Rourke/Sugden), Silverstone 3rd (O' Rourke/Sugden), Croft 3rd (O' Rourke/Sugden), Spa Francorchamps 4th (O' Rourke/Sugden), Silverstone DNF (O' Rourke/Sugden).
I guess these photos could be from the 1998 BGTC as well.

Peloton hosted a Zip file with them all in it a while back. I'll work on posting them tomorrow.
