shuts off

for last couple days when i start the van and put in gear it shuts off,and after some time it works even if its warm,coz i drove yesterday for 30 min and then it shuts off,,can some one help....plz....

Check the cables on your battery terminals. You may also want to clean them. You can buy a terminal cleaner at a parts store for $2.00. If you don't have the time then just use a brillo pad or wire brush to do it! Do this while the cables are disconnected and clean the cable ends as well! This should work. If not then there should be another terminal located above the fenderwell do the same thing to it. Make they are tight when hooked back up. The reason it shuts off is when you put it in gear the engine torques probably throwing the cable loose thus shutting the van off. While driving it may vibrate loose. Happy driving!
