Re: Internals for KA24de
not bad....if you wana pure turbo/ race ready engine check out www.phatka-t.com they are selling pre-prepped ka engines ready for turbo.....over 3 gs though beware. They say that this is how the engine should have been built by nissan if it were going to be a turbo and has been proven to be driven daily with 400hp.

Re: Internals for KA24de
The stock internals are good to 300whp if they are in good condition. Compression check it.

Re: Internals for KA24de
Really? I didnt know that thanx nissanfanatic.I still want to do the internal work b/c, even though I would be happy with 250rwp and running 13s, I would really like to push my car into low 12 if not high 11s.

Re: Internals for KA24de
If I had the money, I would have rebuilt. Its better because you have a much larger margin of error. If you are running lean, your pistons(mainly ring-lands) have a greater chance of survival. The ring-lands are the weak point of the KAs. The stock bottom end has been proven to hold 400+whp but the ring lands just don't hold up for very long. I'll just let you know the only way you can hope to see anything close to those numbers is with a AEM EMS or TEC3 or some kind of precise stand-alone unit. As always, tuning makes or breaks an engine.

Re: Internals for KA24de
hmmm good question, but i dont work there lol, i would ask them about that, i wouldnt see why not though. That could be a great alternative for CA people. If you go through with finding out then you should post what they say up on this forum that would let other CA people know whats up.

Re: Internals for KA24de
I think im gonna go with that internal kit from boost designs. Then turbo my car later on. I would rather be safe then sorry, plus Ive seen what happens when the internals in cars arent built up enough for the turbo or nitrous your running on the motor.
Yeah I saw that AEM EMS it looks sweet, but it costs, I guess I will have to wait awhile before I get that. Thanx, Kyle |
