I have a 2003 sunfire 2.2 5 speed. The problems started shortly after I bought the car. While making right turns I hear a clicking noise. Took to the dealership 4 times for this problem. said they could not duplicate or hear the noise. They said there was a bulletin out for the problems and used shims to fix it. From my understanding the use of shims means the frame is not straight. problem two no big deal seat recliner handle broke which the dealership fixed but has since fallen apart again. problem three heater control would not adjust the handle would not even turn stuck on recirculate the dealer also fixed this problem but controls still stick. Fourth problem rough idle and loss of power. happens only after car is warm low idle speed. release clutch and no power sounds like a rev limiter when this happens. At the dealership three times for this now no codes show they told me it must be bad gas told me to use fuel system cleaner which I did to no avail. third time in the shop the actually gave me a can of cleaner which worked for about a week. the car has about twelve thousand miles on it and I bought it in february 03 ANYONE WHO COULD HELP SHED A LITTLE LIGHT ON THIS SUBJECT WOULD BE GREAT!

I've had problems with mine too. I have an '03 2.2 manual and it's just getting bad. The heat knobs don't turn, and the dealer said that they turned fine. They obviously didn't try and turn them. What I did was I used some players and turned it as hard as I could until I heard this snapping noise and now it turns. When I did that it broke the selector thing that directs the air inside of the hoses and whatnot. So I let the dealer fix that. It probably would have been a 5 dollar fix, but instead it cost them $300. The clicking noise is your suspension brackets. If you make a lot of hard turns they tend to go faster. The dealer replaced mine and they have since broken, I need to take it in again. Is there anything stronger I can use instead of factory ones that break every few months? My rear defroster stopped working, so did my cigarette lighter. I took it in for the defroster and they fixed the cigarette lighter instead. When my engine sounds like it's partially dying, I turn the car off and turn it back on, I have no idea why it does it though.
