unlevel truck
with the sand bags in the back of my truck for the winter, one behind each wheel well and one in the center at the tailgate, when i take them out i sit fine, but with them in my truck sags to the left bad, its noticed more in the front then the back, does that even make any sence?!?!? i noticed it most today under the truck when i changed the oil grese and flushed it, seams like somethings just not right, what could it be??

Re: unlevel truck
I've heard about this in the past...something about weight balance and the tranny..didn't pay much attention to it though....

Re: unlevel truck
What is "a lot" to you? Also, how much do the sand bags weigh, some more heavy then others?

Re: unlevel truck
dont' put the weigh behind the wheels. Put al weight immediately above the rear axle in the bed.

Re: unlevel truck
ive heard people both ways blazer the way that i look at it and it makes sence to me is, thing of the rear axel as a lever, like a teeder todder, whats easyer to push the teeder todder up, pushing right by the pivit point (the axil) or out at the end( the end of the bed)

Re: unlevel truck
Wrong, listen to me, I am not saying this for my own health.
With it the way you have it, every time you go over a bump or small hill in the road you will promoting the springs to hop and you will loose traction. Put them over the axle as I said.

Re: unlevel truck
Listen to BlazerLT when it comes to winter traction, he lives in the land of Ice storms, and some heavy snow falls.
I kinda think that you've got a weak, or possibly broken spring, allowing your truck to sag on 1 side. |

Or just a bad shock.
Trust me on the winter thing, we already have two feet here. God help me and my frozen Canadian ass.

Re: unlevel truck
We only have about 3" of snow where I live, but I'm driving to Winnipeg just after new years, then flying to Quebec City.

Re: unlevel truck
People from the southerrn states would think that I'm nuts, but I haven't even looked at my winter coat yet this year. I've only seen -6.c so far.
I live about 5 hours drive from the coast, so I see some cold days, and it doesn't rain that often |
