Question Jack point am I right? With pics

I recently invested in a floor jack and retired those old ramps .

I decided to jack up the vehicle today I jacked it up by the brace between the two lower suspension arms and put the jackstands in their proper place because my repair manual stated where to put the stands but not where to put the floor jack so I put it at the yellow circle in the middle.

Everything went fine and I lowered the vehicle.

Was that the right place to jack up the vehicle or could it cause damage. Also even though I didn't do it yet is it ok to jack up the rear of the vehicle by the differental??

Finally in the pictures I took I didn't notice when I was taking them if you look at the yellow circle on the left and zoom in I can see a rust torn piece of metal luckily even though it originally looked like a torn exhaust to me it was only a bracket and if a tear that big was in the pipe I would be sure to hear it .

I also think the yellow circle on the right is the fuel filter just out of curiousity.

I included an enlarged image becuase it enhances the clarity and allows you to see that pipe and because I'm showing what a 5.1 megapixel camera can do .

Let me know if I'm right.
