y8 Intake Manifold on z6 Head...

My friend with my old motor said that a couple of his knowledgeable honda buddies said that the y8 intake manifold on the z6 head is like an aftermarket manifold. Said it's pretty potent. True?

Well he already did it and he said he noticed a big difference. He wanted me to post up here and see if anyone knew for sure.

Re: y8 Intake Manifold on z6 Head...

Not sure what you mean like an aftermarket one, but the Y8 manifold is THE BEST d-series manifold. and best flowing. Im sure there will be a def increase in Throttle response and such!

Re: y8 Intake Manifold on z6 Head...

As most have stated it is a better flowing manifold. It will give you better responce. But as far as potent nope you may or may not feel the difference may be a 5 Hp increase if that.

Re: y8 Intake Manifold on z6 Head...

It's said to as comparable as putting an ITR intake manifold on a b16.
It's considered the Type-R of D-series manfolds.
As for the sensors, it doesn't matter what sensors the manifold has, you only plug in the sensors that your ecu is looking for. So only plug in the sensors that you had plugged into your old IM such as the IAT, EACV, TPS, and MAP, as well as the injectors (if it's obd0)
