Sunroof Gettin Stuck Help!

Hey yall...

Got a problem with the sunroof. It will open fine, but when I try to close it, it gets stuck on the track on the drivers side and will not close. I couldnt see any noticeable obstructions and if i push up on the sunroof and push forward i can get it to close. Anyone know whats wrong and how to fix? THANKS!!!!

Nah...motor runs. Just one side is getting stuck on the track, the other side runs free.

I may be completely off-base here, but have you tried using some sort of lubricant?

I guess It wouldmt hurt to lube it up...that may be the problem. Its really wierd tho because its not like its going really slow or anything but its just hanging up on one side. So it starts to try and close crooked but obviously it cant and gets stuck.

MY SUNROOF WAS DOING THE SAME THING- TWO DAYS BEFORE IT COMPLETELY BROKE!!!!!!!

NOW IT WON'T TILT UP AND WON'T GO BACK...

the left side is the "dead" side...

motor works fine i think- (right side works)

are there- TWO FUSES??????

one for left side? one for right side?????

AND- NO- THE LUBRICANT WON'T WORK- BECAUSE IT WAS SLIDING FINE- AND THEN IT SUDDENLY BROKE...

lemme know if u get it fixed...
mine's been broken for the past month and a half... i've been hesitant on taking it into the dealership because i don't want to have to sell a kidney to pay for the service.

Bump

One infiniti place wanted $500+ for the whole damn sunroof assembly. I'm like no. Called scottsdale, they can sell just the "rail" assembly portion for like $75 (without discount). Soo...thats what I guessss needs to be replaced. Its such a hassle though. I guess u gotta take the whole roof down from inside? Maybe? I dunno anyone done this before?

sunroof woes...

i don't think new parts are needed- i just think something got unlatched or disconnected...

i just don't know where to begin looking.

i already looked at the manual that comes with the car (the two inch thick manual- not the pansy "this is the kinda oil you use" one) and i couldn't find the right information...

tough man- tough...

might have to take it into the dealer to get it done...
