paint is fading
hey guys. I am looking to repaint my car. Its a 94 LS with Flamenco Black Metallic paint. Is this paint specific to Honda/Acura or can I find it in an auto parts store. I want to paint it the original color because I don't wanna mess with having to paint the door jams, etc. My paint is fading real bad and I tried waxing it but it didn't help much. I don't feel like getting raped by Acura, so if it is specific to Acura, can you guys give me an alternative but quality type of paint, that I could use? Thanks guys

Re: paint is fading
are you painting it yourself or are you taking it to a professional to paint it? if you're taking it to a professional, then they can match the color exactly you don't necessarily have to tell them what color. if you're doing it yourself, i don't know what to tell you.

Re: paint is fading
Be sure to ask for Sikens paint, don't use PPG, if they want to use PPG then tell them no PPG clear coat, use the Sikens clear coat.

Re: paint is fading
most modern paint shops can color match the original color of the car using a computer.
