Playstation Internet Adapter?

Ok, I have a PS2, I have a wireless router, I have the adapter that connects into my PS2, but how do go wireless? Is there a way to do it with the PS2 if I have cable?

Re: Playstation Internet Adapter?

don't do wireless on PS2, its laggy as shit on any game and you will most likely get booted from all the games you play.

Re: Playstation Internet Adapter?

word.

wireless is good for surfing the web on laptops around universitys (use the librarys log in, and you get unlimit downloads!), not home use.

Re: Playstation Internet Adapter?

You won't get the same throughput needed for bandwidth intensive online games using wireless than you would if you wired it directly into the router. I recommend you just hardwire it to the router.

If you must have wireless, you'll need a wireless access point to jack the PS2 into. The wireless access point will talk to your wireless router.

Re: Playstation Internet Adapter?

In the new house the computer will be downstairs in one of the extra bedrooms and my TV will be upstairs in mine. I guess I'll just put the ps2 downstairs by the computer. Thanks for the help.

Re: Playstation Internet Adapter?

just run cat5 upstairs...it shouldnt be that hard to run through the floor to the ps2. I did it all for my family in about 2 hours. that was hooking up 3 internet connections and cable. THEN we went wireless.....but it shouldnt be that hard.
