This just started.....It's on a 97 Safari
With the van turned off and the key out...the fan for the a/c wants to run. You can hear it just turning ever so slowly. Then all of the sudden it comes on like someone turned the switch on. Then it stops and turns ever so slowly again...then fast again. I have to pull the plug on the fan itself just to get it to turn off and stay off. Any suggestions on what to look for? I have pulled the relay but that does not stop the fan. Only when I pull the 30 amp a/c fuse, will it stop. HELP!!!!!!!!

OK....New info.
With the fan speed selector switch, it does not seem to work properly. This morning it would not work in any position. Then is seem to work as normal. Then it would not work in high but would in all the other positions. So it sounds like the fan switch might be the trouble. What do you all think?

My brother has a 1997 AWD Safari, his heater switch went bad and had to be replaced. His symptoms were, sometimes he would have high speed and other times in high the fan would shut off, then medium went the same way
