Missing something in Engine Bay

After looking at all these pics of peoples engine bay, i noticed they have something that i dont. My engine is stock and to the left side of the factory airbox, i have a large empty spot. I have seen other stock engine bays and they have something there. What is supposed to be there??? whatever it is, do i need it? and is it important??? i would post up pics but i dunno how, lol, u can inform me on how to do that to

Re: Missing something in Engine Bay

yeah, I'm going to need pics, as I'm too tired to think right now...but as far as posting pics:

Up top, click on 'gallery'
then sign in
then click "my gallery"
then upload pic
browse your computer and upload it
then click on the picture when it shows up in your gallery
when the page loads, there will be a tag under the picture.

example: <img>http:blahblahblah</img>

copy paste that tag into your post and the picture will show up when you post.

Is your car an RS? If so they did not come with ABS.

i didn't mean far down as in low, I meant it as in far down away fromn the firewall. usually anything brake related on cars is up near the firewall.

Re: Missing something in Engine Bay

Ok the white hole is where the air is sucked into the air intake, the air starts there.

so would i be able to make my intake piping go straight into the white hole, i guess putting a filter on the end, will that get as much cold air as a cai? or should i just stick to a cai

You don't want to connect anything to that hole. The air goes into that hole then through the intake resonator, then the filter box then the motor. Most people who don't want an aftermarket intake system just take the resonator off. You will see it if you take the passenger side wheel off and pull back the inner fender lining.
