truck tires, offroad and onroad

A question for the tire rack experts,
I got a 2005 Tacoma 4x4 and I need a tire that will handle most anything I can throw at it offroad (snow, dirt, rocks), but will behave itself on the road where they'll spend 95% of the time.
BTW, i was real pleased with my last purchase from the tirerack.com

Horsepower is 100 ewoks poking you with pointy sticks.
Torque is one wookie pulling your arms out of their sockets.

I'm assuming you are looking at a 245/75-16 tire size. If that's the case, I'd look at the Bridgstone Dueler AT Revo, the Yokohama Geolander AT Plus2, or the Firestone Destination AT. The Revo would be my top pick over all for traction, ride quality, wet traction, and all around traction in that size. You can see our test results and customer reviews here:

Re: truck tires, offroad and onroad

Thanks Grant. I think I'm gonna pick up the duelers, everyone seems to like those.
