Screwed by Tiger Direct

My dad was having problems with his computer last year which was becoming a real pain n the ass for me because I had to keep running over there to fix it when it would not work.I decided to get him another puter for a Christmas present. This was last December.I ordered him a computer from Tiger direct. He was so happy when he opened it up on Christmas day. Then we hooked it up and it did not work.It would crash as soon as it booted up.I tried everything to get it to work including reinstalling the operating system, first using the recovery disks and then a new full version of windows.I contacted them as soon as I had a problem and kept trying everything they suggsted to resolve the problem. The computer came with a 3 month warranty so I was confident they would resolve the problem. They refused to replace the computer but kept insisting that I work with their subcontractor to get the system I had working.I am no rookie when it comes to computers and soon realized that the problem was hardware and not software based. The person they had handling the problem would go a week or two before answering my emails and then would just suggest another idea to resolve the errors. When it got to 2 months my dad was getting pissed that he still did not have a working computer so I had to go buy another system from someone local to get him up and running. They even had me go out and replace the hard drive saying that it must be defective. This back and forth went on with them for 12 weeks and then they emailed me that the warranty was up and they would not be answering anymore emails concerning this system. They then stopped replying to my emails. So they screwed me out of over $400.I am posting a link to their customer support. It only takes a few minutes to drop them an email so if anyone has the time fill in the support form and let them know that you wont do business with them because of how they screwed me.They think they can screw over the little guy and no one will care or notice.Lets see what they think when their mailbox gets fooded with emails from all their potential and current customers who won't be buying from them because of this incident. Thanx for your help everyone... Ed Krupp [email protected]

P.s mention my name in the email to them so they know which customer they screwed because im sure there are many

Re: Screwed by Tiger Direct

Never had a problem with them either... meh.

I'd assume you're just unlucky. It happens with any company.
