need help quick..

do you guys know if when you take out a loan from a bank for a car, do you have to get the loan in the amount of the car.. or can you take out extra.. for say tax, title.. all that good stuff? because the guy i wanna buy that Trans Am from is gonna cut me a good deal if i buy it now.. and i dont know if i can afford it otherwise.. please help!

Its based on the Value of the car, the amount of the loan. If you take it out from a dealer it must be the amount of the car. If its from a Bank it can be any amount that they will approve for that vehicle.

ok sweet.. because im gonna ask for like 8 grand(which is what cars around here like that usually go for).. so i can get enough for all that.. and have some to get me through the winter..

look at it this way.... if the car is really that good of a deal and you ever get into a bind where you wont be able to make the loan payments you can always sell the car quick for cheap and come out even

if you get the loan from a bank you can get as much as you can get approved for. if you wanted to, you could go get a 5K loan just to pay off your credit card. you can get a 10K loan for a 3K car if you wanted to. just depends on how much you plan on paying back and what you can get...

yeah, i talked it over with Geno.. he said i'd probably be better off getting a personal loan.. plus i think if i go that route i wouldnt have to have full coverage on my car, which would be good in the winter, but i would definately have it when i am driving it in the summer.. what i also might do is turn around and sell my truck off too for like 800 bucks after i fix it up and then use some of the money for a decent blazer or somethin with 4 wheel drive..
