remote alarm playing up since new car battery

Hi there,

Can somebody please help me with this problem......

just replaced the battery on the car (not the plip) and although it locks and unlocks fine, the alarm will give 2 bleebs (armed) then after a few seconds pause it starts a series of quieter bleebs that keep going untill eventually the alarm sounds.

Its as if its going into some kind of "resetting sequence".

Ive taken the alarm fuse out to shut it up for the time being.

Any ideas would be much appreciated

sorry............... problem solved.

How embarrasing, I'd left the tailgate slightly open.
