[color=pink]I don't know why I have such a difficult time with my car, but here goes.... I have a 1987 VW Golf GL, 1.8, 5 speed... I've had it for a year and I feel like I've done about 5 years worth of repair to it already... I got it as a bum deal from my brother in law, and I'm workin my ass off to get it the way I want it. However, when it comes to replacing my O2 sensor, I don't know where it is! I can see the exhaust manifold, but if anyone could give me a helpful hint in fixin it, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks ~.^

Re: If it could just break a little slower...
first off, your having problems witht he car cuz its almost 2 decades old. you cant expect something that old to not have problems just because you bought it used a year ago.
anyway, o2 sensor's are usually before and after the catalytic converter, im not familiar with the older cars so i cant tell you exactly where. but jack the car up, put it on stands, slide under, locate exhaust and you'll see 2 sensors, like i said, before and after the cat |
