4x4 problems after truck fire!!!

I’m new to this forum someone please help. "BlazerLt" I've been reading some of your helpful tips and I hope you can help with this one. My 95 blazer caught on fire due to a short in the power grid on the driver's side quarter panel. I rewired the engine harness and everything works except the 4H. when I start it the computer does the check sum. lights go on then off. the truck is in 2H, no lights are on in the switch panel. you can push the buttons all you want nothing happens. I put the truck in neutral and push 4H the lights flash 5 times and sometimes all the lights stay on and sometimes the all turn off the same thing happens when you push the 2H button. regardless the truck is still in 2H. Push 4Lo the truck goes into 4Lo the 4Lo light stays on everything works fine. Then push either 4H or 2H the lights flash 5 times and the truck is in 2H again. The only time I can get the panel to respond is when the truck is in neutral any other gear forget it even in park. this also works the same with the truck off, the keyed switch in the run position and in neutral. I’ve replaced all damaged parts except the 4 wheel drive control mod. and I have correctly replaced the vacuum hoses. some one please help me.....
