Question 88 Jeep Cherokee won't start ???

I have an 88 Cherokee that starts and runs just fine but if I shut it off, even after only running a few minutes it will not start again for up to several hours.
If you have any ideas please let me know.

l use to have one like that try replacing your crankshaft positioning sensor
