any Brake upgrades possible?
Hi, I'm new here.
Just got an 04 XLE limited edition awd and driven around all week with it. Only complaint is the brakes. Its a bit soft and doesn't stop as well as I would like it. My wife and I are used to driving BMW's for the past few years and the stock brakes on them have really good bite and short stopping distances with great decent pedal feel. Does anyone know if better pads, fluid, lines exists? Or even better would be a big brake kit from one of the performance toyota cars (as long as the wheel can clear it without spacers)? TIA |

I've had my CE for a month (the standard CE has drums on the rear). I found the brakes spongy, and the pedal travel long, for the first 1000 miles. Now that the brakes have broken-in, I need less pedal, and stop quicker.

Satisfied Brake Products (www.satisfiedbrakes.com) makes a Satisfied Pro Ceramic brake pads you might want to try. It just took 2 months before they shipped a set of pads for my car.
