im pretty sure there is going to be one because i was watching one of the autoshows on espn a while ago i think it was the New York one where they showed the prototype for it and everything. They look like they did in the 60's and i heard that they were goin to put a v-10 in them but that wasnt on that show someone just told me that so i dont know how reliable that is, but it would b awsome if they did.

I guess it's a little too late to say if there will be a new shelby mustang. My opinion is that I do not like the new 2005 mustang. I think they just need to leave the 64 1/2-73 mustangs alone and let them be just that...a 1964 1/2-1973 mustang. Their is also talk about bringing back the shelby 427 coupe and i think it looks a bit weird (IMO). I just think there is too much plastic on them and where did the chrome bumpers of the early generation go? If their gunna bring it back i say they should have at least stuck some chrome bumpers and give the same engine options that were available back then...

Re: new shelby mustang

Its just the modren would. They Chrome bumpers that were on the old one are outdated now adays. Also what u mean the same engine options as back then the 427 corbajet? well They have a v-10 fuel injected enigne one its more efficent also its just more high tech. I wasnt a huge fan of the new corba either but o well. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion on the new mustang but all i can say is they are selling like mad in dealerships so there doing pretty freckin good.

Maybe you already heard by now, but According to Motor Trend a Shelby Mustang Cobra with the 550hp Ford GT motor will replace the SVT Cobra. But no IRS, so we'll see how that works out. Also, the Shelby GR or GR-1 could be produced.

ok, i know i'm a little late about this one, but it's ok, i'm a noob... i think if they bring back the shelby gt500, they do NOT need to make that car fuel injected, or with a fiberglass body, or anything like that. they need to make them just like they were back then... steel bodies, carbeurator engines... i mean those cars are so easy to work on... you could sit on the fender and work on the engine with those cars... now you'll be luck if you can get your arm in there with all these new cars. i say bring back the engines of "yesteryear". hell, go ahead and bring out the 440's the 427s, 428s, 429s, 502s, etc., and make gas 55 cents/gallon again! AND TO HELL WITH THOSE NEW DAMN SAFETY LAWS!
