1991 acura integra

I am looking for squeaks and rattles in my integra. I have the rear interior ripped out and am about to sound proof it. I have one major squeak I have not fixed, it seems to be coming from some old rust at the rear wheel wells. Have you encounterd this problem? do you have any advise on how to resolve this? I am wanting to wait to soundproof untill I solve this last squeek in fear that it may return thru the new sound proofing?
