The difference is emissions system and 146 hp for the B20a. (B20a5 135hp) The B20a has no egr. So if you buy a B20a you may want to use the intake manifold from your B20a5 depending on emission laws where you live. Everything will bolt up the same as your B20a5. I bought mine last month from Japanese engines out of NY. They dont have there own website. I was looking for a civic motor on ebay and found one through them. They happened to have a B20a also so I bought it 2. Very satisfied with both engines, service and speed of delivery. 4 buisness days. I called them before hand to let them know I was sending the money and they had it ready to go upon my payment. If you are looking to cut costs I have a B20a5 you can build with 96 thou on it. Its a good motor with fairly low milage. I will let it go for cheap since I have no use for it. I decided to work on HP ovr the winter while its parked.

B20a contact info

$550 FOR THE ENGINE ONLY.$100 TO SHIP TO THE BUSINESS.
